On Thursday, August 24, 2023, the Appellate Division of the State of New York Supreme Court, Third Judicial Department granted the motion for reinstatement filed by Attorney Robert Scott Rewak.

The case is titled ‘In the Matter of Robert Scott Rewak’ with case no. PM-192-23.

Attorney Rewak was suspended on May 16, 2019, for repeatedly failing to fulfill his attorney registration obligations.

Attorney Rewak submitted his motion for reinstatement to the practice of law with attached affidavit and exhibits sworn to on March 31, 2023, for the Court to deliberate over. These papers, the supplemental filing of April 28, 2023, and the responsive correspondence from the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department were carefully taken into account. Having examined all points of consideration, the Court determined Attorney Robert Scott Rewak to be fit to practice law again as he had shown the requisite character and fitness of an honorable legal practitioner. Likewise, he was found to have satisfied the order of suspension and the rules of the Court. Moreover, the Court was inclined to believe that his reinstatement would be in the public interest. The Court, therefore, found it right and just to grant the motion.

The order reads:

“ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted, and it is further

ORDERED that the respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.”

Attorney Robert Scott Rewak acquired his law degree from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, and acquired his license in New York in 2009. To learn more about Attorney Rewak’s bio, please click here.
