On Monday, September 23, 2024, the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct Panel D granted the reinstatement of John Marshall May to the practice of law in the state.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of John Marshall May,” with case no. CPC 2024-009.

The order detailed that May had been suspended for five years in August 2019 for an ethics violation. He applied for reinstatement in August 2024 after completing his suspension. Panel D of the Committee, which regulates the professional conduct of attorneys, voted to reinstate May’s license to practice law in the state.

The reinstatement will go into effect upon filing the order with the Arkansas Supreme Court Clerk. May is now cleared to return to the active practice of law in Arkansas after serving his five-year suspension handed down in 2019.

According to lawyer.com, Mr. May acquired his law license in Arkansas in 2000.
