On December 28, 2023, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department accepted the non-disciplinary resignation of attorney Andres Gil from the New York Bar.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Andres Gil,” with case no. PM-281-23.

The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department did not oppose Gil’s application. The Court reviewed Gil’s affidavit sworn on November 7, 2023, and filed on November 13, 2023, along with correspondence from the Deputy Chief Attorney for AGC dated December 14, 2023. Having determined Gil’s eligibility to resign for nondisciplinary reasons, the Court granted his application and accepted his resignation.

Per the order, Andres Gil’s name is stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York, effective immediately, until further order of the Court. Gil is directed to desist and refrain from practicing law in any form within the state, and he is prohibited from appearing as an attorney or counselor-at-law before any court or public authority.

Additionally, within 30 days of the decision, Gil is commanded to surrender any Attorney Secure Pass issued to him to the Office of Court Administration.

The Order states:

“ORDERED that Andres Gil’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted”

According to Avvo, Mr. Gil is an attorney in Denver, Colorado. He obtained his law license in New York in 2011.
