On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Supreme Court of Ohio issued an order for an interim default suspension against attorney Cam Ryan Stanley. The order comes after Stanley failed to respond to a formal complaint filed with the Board of Professional Conduct.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Cam Ryan Stanley,” with case no. 2025-0990.
As a result of the suspension, Stanley is immediately prohibited from practicing law in Ohio. This includes representing clients before any court, judge, commission, board, administrative agency, or other public authority. He is also forbidden from offering legal counsel, preparing legal documents, or performing any legal services. Stanley is divested of all rights and privileges typically granted to members in good standing of the Ohio legal profession.
The Supreme Court has stipulated that before Stanley enters into any employment or consulting relationship with an attorney or law firm, he must ensure the attorney or firm has complied with registration requirements. Stanley must also complete continuing legal education credits, including one credit hour on professional conduct for every six months of suspension.
Stanley cannot be reinstated until he meets the requirements outlined by the Supreme Court Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio, complies with all court orders, and is formally reinstated by the court. Within 90 days, Stanley must reimburse any amounts awarded by the Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection. Furthermore, Stanley is required to notify clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel of his suspension within 30 days and take necessary steps to ensure proper handling of client matters. He must also provide an affidavit of compliance to the court clerk and disciplinary counsel.
According to Avvo.com, Mr. Stanley is a criminal defense attorney in Paulding, Ohio. He acquired his law license in Ohio in 2019.
