On Thursday, December 18, 2025, The Florida Bar filed a petition for contempt and order to show cause with the Supreme Court of Florida against attorney Christopher Paul Fordham.
The petition, filed pursuant to Rule 3-7.11(f) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, alleges that Fordham failed to respond to official bar inquiries in two separate Florida Bar files: No. 2025-10,768(13A) and No. 2026-10,277(13A).
According to the petition, the Grievance Committee had previously found Fordham in contempt on November 24, 2025, in both cases and requested that The Florida Bar file the petitions with the Supreme Court. The findings on non-compliance and failure to respond to official bar inquiries are included as exhibits in the petition.
The Florida Bar is seeking administrative costs of $1,250.00 from Fordham, arguing that other members of the Bar should not bear the financial burden of his failure to respond to official inquiries.
The Bar is also requesting that the Supreme Court suspend Fordham from practicing law until he fully responds in writing to the inquiries contained in the exhibits, or until further order of the Court.
According to Avvo, Mr. Fordham is a business lawyer in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He acquired his law license in Florida in 2018.
