On Thursday, December 22, 2022, the Attorney Discipline Board of the State of Michigan issued an Order of Reinstatement concerning attorney James Lawrence.
The case is styled ‘Grievance Administrator of the Attorney Grievance Commission v. James Lawrence’ with Case #21-72-GA.
By an Order of Suspension and Restitution (By Consent) dated May 11, 2022, the Tri-County Hearing Panel suspended Mr. Lawrence from the practice of law for 100 days, effective June 2, 2022.
The filing states:
“On December 15, 2022, respondent submitted an affidavit pursuant to MCR 9.123(A), showing that he has fully complied with all requirements of the Order of Suspension and Restitution (By Consent) and will continue to comply with the order until and unless reinstated. The Board was advised that the Grievance Administrator has no objection to the affidavit.”
Accordingly, the Board ruled in favor of Mr. Lawrence’s affidavit and reinstated him to the practice of law in Michigan effective December 22, 2022.
