On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the Supreme Court of Louisiana accepted a joint petition for consent discipline regarding attorney Jade R. Blasingame. Blasingame, whose Louisiana Bar Roll number is 30822, has been disbarred, with the disbarment retroactive to January 21, 2016, the date of her interim suspension.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Jade R. Blasingame,” with case no. 2025-B-0977.

The disciplinary action stems from Blasingame’s conversion of a significant amount of client and third-party funds. She pleaded guilty to theft and issuing worthless checks. Additionally, Blasingame entered into a prohibited business transaction with a client. These actions constitute violations of multiple Rules of Professional Conduct, specifically Rules 1.8(a), 1.15(a), 1.15(d), 1.15(f), 8.4(b), and 8.4(c).

Blasingame and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel jointly submitted the petition for consent discipline before formal charges were filed.

The court has ordered that her name be removed from the roll of attorneys, and her license to practice law in Louisiana has been revoked.

The Supreme Court has assessed all costs and expenses associated with the matter against Blasingame, in accordance with Supreme Court Rule XIX, § 10.1, with legal interest accruing 30 days from the judgment’s finality until the amount is paid.

According to Avvo.com, Ms. Blasingame was a personal injury attorney in Lafayette, Louisiana. She acquired her law license in Louisiana in 2006.
