On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, the Supreme Court of Missouri suspended attorney Joseph E. Denigan from practicing law following his guilty pleas to two class D felonies related to driving while intoxicated.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Joseph E. Denigan,” with case no. SC100890.
The court’s action followed a process initiated by the Chief Disciplinary Counsel, who informed the court of Denigan’s guilty plea and requested disciplinary measures. On December 13, 2024, the Supreme Court issued an order asking Denigan to explain why he should not face discipline under Rule 5.21(g). Denigan submitted his response on January 28, 2025.
After reviewing the counsel’s filing and Denigan’s reply, the court issued its suspension order.
The court also imposed a fee of $1,000, which is to be paid to the Clerk of the Court and credited to the Advisory Committee Fund, with these costs being taxed to Denigan.
According to martindale.com, Mr. Denigan attended St. Louis University, graduating in 1984. He acquired his law license in Missouri in 1985.
