On Monday, September 18, 2023, the Oklahoma Supreme Court reinstated attorney Joshua Todd Welch to the state bar association. Welch was stricken from the roll of attorneys in 2012 after submitting his resignation pending disciplinary proceedings.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Joshua Todd Welch,” with case no. 7428.

The Professional Responsibility Tribunal held a hearing on June 8, 2023, and unanimously recommended Welch’s reinstatement. The Supreme Court found that Welch has met all the procedural requirements for reinstatement, has not engaged in the unauthorized practice of law in Oklahoma, possesses the competency and learning in the law required for reinstatement, and possesses the good moral character required for reinstatement.

The court ordered Welch to pay costs associated with the proceedings in the amount of $174.83 within 60 days and to pay his 2023 Bar Association dues within 30 days, with reinstatement being conditional upon the payment of these dues.

According to LinkedIn, Mr. Welch attended the Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating in 1997. He is licensed in Oklahoma.
