On November 30, 2023, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department reinstated attorney Kelly Baumer Bryan to the practice of law.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Kelly Baumer Bryan,” with case no. PM-268-23.

The suspension stemmed from a matter related to violations of Judiciary Law § 468-a, as detailed in the 2014 case of “Attorneys in Violation of Judiciary Law § 468-a.” Despite the suspension, Bryan has successfully navigated the reinstatement process.

The court, upon reviewing Bryan’s motion, found by clear and convincing evidence that she had satisfied the necessary requirements. This includes compliance with the order of suspension and the rules of the court, possessing the requisite character and fitness to practice law and a determination that her reinstatement is in the public interest.

Bryan’s motion for reinstatement was supported by her notice of motion and affidavit sworn on August 25, 2023, along with supplemental filings submitted on October 5, 2023. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department also provided responsive correspondence on September 27, 2023.

The court’s order, effective immediately, reinstates Kelly Baumer Bryan as an attorney and counselor-at-law.

The Disposition states:

“ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted.”

According to Avvo, Ms. Bryan is an attorney at Hyattsville, Maryland. She obtained her law license in New York in 1999.
