On Friday, January 19, 2024, Kelly Garner Kilroy, a Maryland attorney who was disbarred in 2017, was reinstated to practice law in the state.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Kelly Garner Kilroy,” with case no. 20.

Kilroy was disbarred by consent in 2017 after admitting to violating several rules of professional conduct. According to a court order dated May 18, 2017, Kilroy admitted to violating the Maryland Rules of Professional Conduct.

Now, nearly seven years later, Kilroy has been allowed to practice law again. In an order dated January 19, 2024, the Supreme Court of Maryland granted Kilroy’s petition for reinstatement to the bar. The order reinstated Kilroy’s law license and directed that her name be returned to the list of attorneys eligible to practice in the state.

The Disposition states:

“ORDERED that the petition is granted, and it is further ORDERED that Kelly Garner Kilroy is reinstated as a member of the Bar of Maryland,”

According to avvo.com, Ms. Kilroy is a divorce and separation attorney. She attended the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating in 1997. She acquired her law license in Maryland in the same year.
