On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted Attorney Lillian Mee Jing Moy’s request to resign from the New York bar for nondisciplinary reasons.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Lillian Mee Jing Moy,” with case no. PM-163-25.

Moy’s application was accompanied by an affidavit that she swore to on May 15, 2025, and subsequently filed on May 23, 2025. The Attorney Grievance Committee indicated that it did not oppose her request.

The court’s ruling confirmed that Moy was eligible to resign without any disciplinary implications. Following the acceptance of her resignation, Moy’s name was officially removed from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in New York.

The court ordered Moy to cease all legal practice within the state, prohibiting her from acting as an attorney or counselor-at-law in any capacity. This includes not appearing before any judicial or public authority and refraining from providing legal opinions or advice. Moy has been instructed to return any Attorney Secure Pass issued to her to the Office of Court Administration within 30 days of the court’s decision.

The Disposition states:

“It is ORDERED that Lillian Mee Jing Moy’s application for permission to resign is granted and her nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”

According to Avvo.com, Ms. Moy was a general practice attorney in Albany, New York. She attended the Boston University School of Law. She acquired her law license in New York in 1997.
