On Thursday, August 22, 2024, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals issued an order suspending attorney Michael Samuel Rosier from practicing law in D.C. based on disciplinary actions taken against him in Maryland.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Michael S. Rosier,” with case no. 2023-D182.

Rosier had previously been suspended from practicing law in Maryland for 30 days with the suspension stayed in favor of six-month probation, according to an order from the Maryland Supreme Court on October 20, 2023.

That order found Rosier violated several rules of professional conduct related to communication with clients, fees, safekeeping client property, declining representation, communicating with represented parties, and attorney trust account record keeping.

The D.C. Court of Appeals then imposed reciprocal discipline on August 22, 2024, suspending Rosier’s license to practice in Washington D.C. based on the disciplinary actions from another state.

According to avvo.com, Attorney Micahel Samuel Rosier is a general practice attorney in Lanham, Maryland. He attended Florida State University College of Law and acquired his law license in the District of Columbia in 1983.
