On Friday, September 5, 2025, the Supreme Court of Florida suspended attorney Nabil Ibrahim Abu Nahlah from The Florida Bar. This decision follows a Notice of Determination or Judgment of Guilt filed by The Florida Bar on September 4, 2025.

The case is entitled “The Florida Bar v. Nabil Ibrahim Abu Nahlah,” with case no. SC2025-1370.

Nabil Ibrahim Abu Nahlah faced charges related to major fraud against the United States, specifically in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1031. The legal proceedings commenced when he was charged on September 26, 2024, by information with the following felonious conduct: Major Fraud Against the United States, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1031. He pleaded guilty as charged, following a waiver of indictment.

The court issued its judgment on May 14, 2025, sentencing Abu Nahlah to time served and placing him on supervised release for a three-year term. Additionally, he was ordered to undergo in-home detention and was required to pay restitution amounting to $124,809.

The Supreme Court’s order stipulates that the suspension will take effect thirty days from the date of the ruling, allowing Abu Nahlah time to wind down his practice and safeguard the interests of his existing clients. Should he inform the court in writing that he no longer practices law and does not require the full thirty days, the suspension could be made effective immediately.

Furthermore, Abu Nahlah is required to comply with Rule 3-5.1(h) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, which includes notifying clients, opposing counsel, and relevant courts about his suspension. He is also prohibited from accepting new business during this period until he is reinstated.

The Disposition states:

“The Florida Bar having filed on September 4, 2025, Notice of Determination or Judgment of Guilt, it is ordered that Nabil Ibrahim Abu Nahlah is suspended from The Florida Bar pursuant to 3-7.2(f) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.”

According to Avvo.com, Mr. Nahlah is a contracts and agreements attorney in Miami Beach, Florida. He acquired his law license in Florida in 2018.
