On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department granted a motion to reinstate Philip Jacob Weiser as an attorney and counselor-at-law in the State of New York, effective immediately.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Philip Jacob Weiser,” with case no. 2025-07681.

The reinstatement follows an order issued by the Court on November 17, 2022, which suspended Weiser from practicing law. The suspension was a consequence of his failure to comply with Judiciary Law §468-a.

Weiser subsequently filed a motion seeking reinstatement. The Court’s decision to reinstate him came after reviewing filed documents about the motion and determining that he had complied with Judiciary Law §468-a on or about November 6, 2025, subsequent to the effective date of the initial suspension order.

The decision was presided over by Justice Peter H. Moulton, with Justices Saliann Scarpulla, Barbara R. Kapnick, Julio Rodriguez III, and Llinét M. Rosado also present.

According to the filing, Mr. Weiser acquired his law license in New York in 1995.
