On Friday, July 18, 2025, the Louisiana Supreme Court accepted a joint petition for the permanent resignation of attorney Richard T. Conrad, III, following an investigation by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC).

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Richard T. Conrad, III,” with case number 2025-OB-0901.

The investigation highlighted serious allegations of misconduct, including the concealment of a final judgment from a client and the forgery of a judgment of dismissal.

Prior to the formal filing of charges, both Conrad and the ODC agreed to the terms of his resignation under Supreme Court Rule XIX, § 20.1.

The court’s ruling prohibits Conrad from practicing law in Louisiana and any other jurisdiction where he is licensed. Additionally, the decision prevents him from seeking readmission to the practice of law in Louisiana or any other jurisdiction in the future.

The court’s order underscores the seriousness of the allegations against Conrad and reflects the judicial system’s commitment to maintaining ethical standards within the legal profession.

As a result of this ruling, Richard T. Conrad, III, who was listed under Louisiana Bar Roll number 25006, is permanently banned from any legal practice.

According to Avvo, Mr. Conrad is an insurance lawyer in Ridgeland, Mississippi. He acquired his law license in Louisiana in 1997.
