On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted Ryan Timothy Middlemas’ motion for reinstatement as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Middlemas was previously suspended from practicing law in September 2024 for violating Judiciary Law § 468-a.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Ryan Timothy Middlemas,” with case no. PM-112-25.

The court’s decision followed Middlemas’ motion, submitted with an affidavit sworn on February 10, 2025, and supported by a response from the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department on March 20, 2025.

The court found clear and convincing evidence that Middlemas met the requirements for reinstatement. Specifically, the court determined that he had complied with the suspension order and court rules, demonstrated the necessary character and fitness to practice law, and that his reinstatement would serve the public interest.

The Disposition states:

“It is ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted; and it is further ORDERED that respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.”
