On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department reinstated Saira Bano Haider as an attorney and counselor-at-law in the State of New York.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Saira Bano Haider,” with case no. 2025-03103.

The decision followed Haider’s motion for reinstatement after a prior suspension from practicing law on March 20, 2025. The court’s order barred her from practicing due to non-compliance with Judiciary Law Section 468-a.

Following her suspension, Haider took corrective action and complied with Judiciary Law Section 468-a on or about April 14, 2025. She subsequently filed a motion requesting reinstatement to resume her legal practice.

The Appellate Court, presided over by Justice Peter H. Moulton, alongside Justices Barbara R. Karnick, Saliann Scarpulla, Julio Rodriguez III, and Linét M. Rosado, reviewed her motion. After due deliberation and examination of the submitted documents, the court granted Haider’s request, allowing her to return to practice effective June 24, 2025.

According to Avvo.com, Ms. Haider is an attorney in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Fordham Law School. She acquired her law license in New York in 2013.
