On Monday, August 7, 2023, the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department announced that it had granted the application of Milaca attorney Sarah Elizabeth Erickson to resign from the NY bar for non-disciplinary reasons.

The case is titled “In the Matter of Sarah Elizabeth Erickson,” case no. PM-165-23.

According to the court document, Erickson filed a motion seeking to resign from the New York State Bar on July 7, 2023, to which the Attorney Grievance Committee did not file any objection.

Following a thorough review of the application, the Court, having determined Erickson’s eligibility to resign for non-disciplinary reasons, granted and accepted her resignation.

Erickson’s name was struck from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York and was prohibited from practicing law in any capacity, appearing as an attorney in court, providing legal opinions or advice, or holding himself out as an attorney.
