On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board reinstated the law license of Thomas J. Wilson after initially suspending him on August 31, 2023.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Thomas J. Wilson,” with case no. 23-57-GA.

Wilson had his license suspended due to failing to appear at a disciplinary hearing on August 15, 2023. However, Wilson was able to have his suspension reconsidered and vacated after appearing at a subsequent hearing on January 9th, 2024. Genesee County Hearing Panel #3 approved Wilson’s motion for reconsideration and reinstated his license to practice law in Michigan effective immediately on that same date.

The January 18th Notice of Reinstatement document details the outcome of Wilson’s case after he was able to secure a reconsideration of the August suspension by the same hearing panel that had suspended him three months prior. His license is now cleared for reinstatement after appearing at the proceeding before the Attorney Discipline Board.

The Disposition states:

“The panel’s order reinstated the respondent’s license to practice law in Michigan, effective immediately.”

According to avvo.com, Mr. Wilson is a consumer protection attorney in Lexington, Michigan. He acquired his law license in Michigan in 1981.
