Bucyrus Attorney Adam Charles’ resignation from law practice accepted by the Supreme Court of Ohio amid pending disciplinary charges

On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the Supreme Court of Ohio ruled on the Application for Retirement or Resignation of Bucyrus attorney Adam Charles Stone, case no. 2022-1530.

Disciplinary Counsel filed before the Board of Professional Conduct disciplinary charges on October 28, 2022, alleging Stone to have engaged in misconduct in his representation of his client, the Strakers, in a wrongful death suit seeking to prove that their son Brandon Baxter was murdered by his wife. The Amended Complaint and Certificate alleged that Stone repeatedly and intentionally made false statements to the Strakers regarding the case.

Stone now seeks to resign his law license by filing his application for retirement or resignation before the Court.

The filing states that:

“The application was referred to disciplinary counsel pursuant to Gov. Bar R. VI(11)(B). On December 13, 2022, the Office of Attorney Services filed disciplinary counsel’s report, under seal, with this court in accordance with Gov. Ba R. VI(11)(B)(2).”

Accordingly, the Court ruled in favor of Stone and ordered that pursuant to Gov. Bar. R. VI (11) (C), Stone’s resignation as an attorney and counselor at law was accepted as a resignation with disciplinary action pending.

Mr. Adam Charles Stone practiced in Bucyrus, Ohio. He attended the University of Dayton, graduating in 2009. He had been licensed in Ohio. His info can be found on Avvo.com.
