On Tuesday, January 10, the Supreme Court of Ohio indefinitely suspended attorney Steven Jerome Moody for failure to Show Cause why he should be sanctioned with the same after the initial suspension.

The case is entitled “Disciplinary Counsel v. Moody”, and was brought by the Disciplinary Counsel with case #2022-0940.

The Respondent, Steven Moody was initially sanctioned with interim default suspension by the Board of Professional Conduct on August 26, 2022. The parties then were ordered by the Board to Show Cause why the interim default suspension should not be turned into an Indefinite suspension. However, there were no objections filed, hence this Order.

In Consideration thereof, it is Ordered that the respondent is Indefinitely suspended from the practice of law. He is ordered to cease and desist from the practice of law in any form. He is also forbidden to appear on behalf of another before any court, judge, commission, board, or other public authority. Other than being forbidden to advise or prepare legal instruments for others, the respondent is divested of any and all of the rights, privileges, and prerogatives customarily accorded to a member in good standing in Ohio.
