On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the State of Michigan Attorney Discipline Board issued a Notice of Suspension with Conditions in relation to the charges for attorney discipline against Dearborn attorney Hussein N. Rahal.
The case was brought by Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission. Case Nos. 22-49-MZ.
The following are as alleged and summarized from the filing:
Rahal was suspended by Tri-County Hearing Panel #16 on January 19, 2022. The hearing panel found that Rahal violated the order of suspension. He was found to have negligently failed to file a timely affidavit of compliance with the Attorney Grievance Commission and the Attorney Discipline Board. He was found that he had practiced law, appeared as an attorney before courts, and held himself out as an attorney, during his suspension period.
By these acts, the hearing panel granted the Grievance Administrator’s motion to increase discipline.
The Notice of Suspension with Conditions reads:
“The hearing panel ordered that respondent’s license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 90 days, effective May 27, 2022, the date respondent ceased practicing law after retaining competent disciplinary counsel. The panel further ordered that respondent be subject to conditions relevant to the established misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,842.50.”
Mr. Rahal practices in Dearborn, Michigan. He has been admitted to the Michigan State bar.
