On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, the Supreme Court of Ohio suspended attorney Robert James Rohrbaugh II over a felony conviction. The case is entitled “In the matter of Robert James Rohrbaugh II” with case no. 2023-0209.

A felony conviction judgment entry against the respondent was filed by the Board of Professional Conduct on February 13, 2023. Upon the consideration of the said Judgement Entry, the Supreme Court of Ohio ordered that the respondent be suspended from the practice of law for an interim period. The matter was also ordered to be referred to Mahoning County Bar Association for proper investigation and the commencement of disciplinary proceedings.

The respondent is instructed to cease and desist from the practice and is forbidden to appear on behalf of another before any court, judge, commission, administrative agency, or public authority. The respondent, before entering into employment, contractual, or consulting relationship with another attorney or a law firm, must verify if the attorney or law firm has complied with the registration requirements. Continuing legal education shall also be completed by the respondent.

It is also ordered that the respondent shall not be reinstated to the practice of law in Ohio until the respondent complies with the requirements for reinstatement set forth in the Supreme Court Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio.
