On Friday, February 13, 2026, The Florida Bar filed a Petition for Contempt and Order to Show Cause with the Supreme Court of Florida against attorney Kennan George Dandar. The case alleges Dandar failed to respond to official Bar inquiries.

The case is entitled “The Florida Bar v. Kennan George Dandar,” with case no. 2026-10,564 (13D).

According to the petition, filed pursuant to Rule 3-7.11(f) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, Dandar has not responded to an official Bar inquiry as of the date of service of the petition. The Florida Bar had previously filed a Petition for Order to Show Cause on January 30, 2026, under file number 2025-10,036(13D), which is currently pending before the Supreme Court.

The Florida Bar is seeking administrative costs of $1,250.00 from Dandar, arguing that other members of the Bar should not bear the financial burden of his failure to respond. They are also requesting the Court to suspend Dandar’s license until he fully responds in writing to the inquiries outlined in “Exhibit 1” and “Exhibit 2” attached to the petition.

The petition states:

“The bar respectfully requests this Court suspend respondent pursuant to Rule 3-7.11 (f), until such time as respondent fully responds in writing to the official Bar inquiry contained in “Exhibit 1” and “Exhibit 2” and until further order of this Court.

According to Avvo.com, Mr. Dandar is a lawsuits and disputes attorney in Tampa, Florida. He attended Temple University – James E. Beasley School of Law, graduating in 1979. He acquired his law license in Florida in the same year.
