On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, the Supreme Court of Illinois ruled on the Petition by the Administrator of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission to impose reciprocal discipline against St. Louis attorney Mark Thomas McCloskey.

The case, titled In re: Mark Thomas McCloskey, was brought by the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. Case #M.R.031375.

According to the filing:

“Respondent Mark Thomas McCloskey, who has been disciplined in the State of Missouri, is suspended from the practice of law in the State of Illinois for six (6) months and until further order of the Court, with the suspension stayed in its entirety by a one (1) year period of probation, nunc pro tunc to February 8, 2022, subject to the conditions imposed upon respondent by the Supreme Court of Missouri and until he successfully completes the period of probation in the State of Missouri.”

The filing continues:

“Respondent Mark Thomas McCloskey shall reimburse the Client Protection Program Trust Fund for any Client Protection payments arising from his conduct prior to the termination of the period of suspension/probation.”

 As of today, Mr. McCloskey is listed on McCloskey Law Center as a practicing attorney. He attended the Southern Methodist School of Law, graduating in 1985. McCloskey practices in St. Louis, Missouri and has been licensed in Illinois, Missouri, and Texas.
