On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, the Iowa Supreme Court issued an order temporarily suspending Ms. Gina Angela Jorgensen’s license to practice law in Iowa.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Gina Angela Jorgensen,” with case number 23-1387

The order comes in response to complaints filed under Attorney Disciplinary Board numbers 2022-379, 2023-017, and 2023-041. Ms. Jorgensen’s failure to respond to the Board’s notices regarding these matters caused this disciplinary action.

On August 28, 2023, the Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board filed a certificate advising the court that Attorney Jorgensen had failed to respond to the Board’s notice regarding multiple complaints within the required timeframe.

On September 6, 2023, the Iowa Supreme Court Clerk issued a notice to Ms. Jorgensen, stating that her law license would be suspended unless she took action to withdraw the Board’s certificate within 20 days of the notice’s issuance.

Ms. Jorgensen did not respond to cause the Board to withdraw its certificate by the September 26, 2023 deadline. Accordingly, on October 24, 2023, the Iowa Supreme Court issued an order temporarily suspending Ms. Jorgensen’s license to practice law in Iowa, effective immediately.

The suspension will remain in place until Ms. Jorgensen pays applicable reinstatement fees at the Office of Professional Regulation, and the Board withdraws its certificate concerning her failure to respond. Ms. Jorgensen must also comply with client notification requirements under the Iowa Court Rules.

According to Avvo, Attorney Gina Angela Jorgensen is a business attorney based in Hampton, Iowa. She attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in 2000. She acquired her law license in Iowa in 2001.
