On Thursday, September 26, 2024, the Supreme Court of Kentucky issued an opinion and order reinstating James T. Jameson to the practice of law.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of James T. Jameson,” with case no. 2024-SC-0294-KB.

Jameson had been suspended from the Kentucky Bar Association in January 2023 for failing to pay his bar membership dues. In March 2023, he filed an application for restoration. A formal hearing was held in March 2024, where Jameson presented evidence that he had paid his dues and completed his continuing legal education requirements. He was not the subject of any claims from the Client Security Fund. Both Jameson and the Office of Bar Counsel agreed that he had met the requirements to be restored.

As a condition of his reinstatement, Jameson must obtain treatment for his diagnosed Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. He is required to submit quarterly reports on his treatment progress to the Character and Fitness Committee and OBC.

The Court accepted the joint stipulation and reinstated Jameson’s law license. They denied the KBA’s request for Jameson to pay over $5,700 in costs from the proceedings.

According to avvo.com, Mr. Jameson is an attorney in Hardin, Kentucky. He acquired his law license in Kentucky in 2007.
