On Friday, April 28, 2023, the Supreme Court of the State of Kansas disbarred attorney Allen B. Angst. The case is entitled “In the Matter of Allen B. Angst,” and was brought by the Office of the Disciplinary Counsel with case no. 10428.

The charges cited Kansas Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15(a)(d) and 1.16(d).

Following the respondent’s change in status from “active” to “retired” on March 2021, in a letter signed on April 19, 2023, attorney Angst voluntarily surrendered his license to practice law under the Supreme Court Rule 230(a).

The Office of the Disciplinary Administrator filed an amended formal complaint against attorney Angst, which led to a hearing before the Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys. It was during this time that attorney Angst surrendered his license.

In relation to this, the Supreme Court of the State of Kansas accepted the surrender of the respondent’s license to practice law.

The Disposition states:

“This court accepts the surrender of Angst’s license, orders Angst disbarred from the practice of law pursuant to Rule 230(b), and revokes Angst’s license and privilege to practice law in Kansas.”

The Office of Judicial Administration was ordered to strike the name of Allen B. Angst from the roll of attorneys and his license to practice law in Kansas. Moreover, the court noted that the Disciplinary Administrator may direct an investigator to complete a pending investigation to preserve evidence.

Mr. Angst practices in Junction City, Kansas. He is licensed in Kansas. His info can be found on avvo.com.
