On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Supreme Court of Kentucky admitted Attorney Pierre Henri Bergeron to the Kentucky Bar Association (KBA) without examination. Bergeron, previously admitted to practice law in Kentucky on April 21, 2005, had withdrawn his membership in 2019 after filing a motion in 2018, at which time he held no disciplinary record and was in good standing.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Pierre Henri Bergeron,” with case no. 2025-SC-0185-KB.
Bergeron served as a judge on the Ohio First District Court of Appeals from February 9, 2019, to February 8, 2025. He remains in good standing in both Ohio and Florida. On October 11, 2024, Bergeron applied for restoration to the KBA under Supreme Court Rule (SCR) 3.504, having actively practiced law for five of the seven years prior to his application.
The Kentucky Office of Bar Admissions’ Character and Fitness Committee reviewed Bergeron’s application, which included a letter from Chief Bar Counsel confirming no pending disciplinary actions or claims against the Clients’ Security Fund. Additionally, a letter from Cassie H. Cooper, Director for Continuing Legal Education, verified that Bergeron met Kentucky’s CLE requirements. The Inquiry Commission completed its investigation on January 21, 2025, and the application was received by the Office of Bar Admissions on February 5, 2025. No hearing was requested by either Bar Counsel or Bergeron.
The Committee determined that Bergeron met the requirements of SCR 2.110 and SCR 2.010, recommending his admission to the Kentucky Bar. The Supreme Court, after reviewing the record, approved the recommendation, granting Bergeron’s restoration to KBA membership.
According to Avvo.com, Mr. Bergeron is a litigation attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the University of Virginia School of Law. He acquired his law license in Kentucky in 2005.
