The New York Supreme Court Appellate Division Third Judicial Department has reinstated attorney Robin-Hwajin Yoon Kim. The court issued an order on Thursday, August 24, 2023, granting Kim’s motion for reinstatement.
The case is styled ‘In the Matter of Attorneys in Violation of Judiciary Law § 468-a,’ case number PM-189-23.
According to the Decision and Order on Motion, Kim was suspended from practice by a January 2014 order of the court for violation of the Judiciary Law § 468-a, arising from her failure to comply with attorney registration.
Kim filed a notice of motion and affirmation with exhibits in support of her application for reinstatement, which the Attorney Grievance Committee did not oppose.
The court decided in favor of Kim’s reinstatement, after finding that she complied with the order of suspension and the court rules; that she had the character and fitness required to be a lawyer, and that reinstating her would be in the public interest.
The order reads:
“ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted; and it is further
ORDERED that respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law in the State of New York. effective immediately.”
At the time of writing, Mr. Robin-Hwajin Yoon Kim’s professional profile indicates that she is employed at R.H. Kim, Inc. in Los Angeles, California. She attended New York University. Kim has been admitted to practice in New York in 1993, license no. 2566719.
