On Thursday, November 21, 2024, the Maine District Court issued an order for the immediate interim suspension of Attorney Heidi M. Drew, who serves as a Guardian ad Litem.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Heidi Drew,” with case no. 24-364.
The decision follows a petition filed by the GAL Review Board Counsel, which alleged that Drew violated established rules governing Guardians ad Litem. The court found probable cause to believe that these violations could cause immediate and irreversible harm to a child, the public, or the court itself.
As a result, Drew has been suspended from the Maine Roster of Guardians ad Litem, effective immediately. This suspension will remain in place until a final decision is reached following a hearing by a Review Board Panel regarding the issues raised in the petition. Additionally, Drew is required to comply with Maine Rule for Guardians ad Litem 9(m). The order was signed by Chief Judge Brent Davis of the Maine District Court.
According to martindale.com, Ms. Drew attended the University of Maine School of Law, graduating in 2010. She acquired her law license in Maine in 2010.
