On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court disbarred attorney George Maroun, Jr.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of George Maroun, Jr.,” with case number BD-2025-010.
The decision was made following a hearing that took place after the Board of Bar Overseers filed a recommendation for disbarment on January 30, 2025. An order of notice was issued to Maroun on February 3, 2025, requiring him to appear before the court on March 17, 2025.
During the proceedings, only the assistant bar counsel attended the hearing, while Maroun did not appear.
The court’s ruling was delivered by Justice Gaziano, who stated that Maroun would be immediately disbarred from practicing law in the Commonwealth. Following this judgment, Maroun’s name will be removed from the Roll of Attorneys.
According to Avvo, Mr. Maroun is an immigration lawyer in Windham, NH. He acquired his law license in Massachusetts in 2008.
