On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, the Attorney Discipline Board of the State of Michigan issued a Notice of Reprimand with Conditions (By Consent) relating to the Revised Stipulation for Consent Order of Reprimand Conditions filed by the Grievance Administrator and Southfield attorney James A. Murray, III.

The case was brought by the Grievance Administrator, case nos. 22-58-JC and 22-59-GA.

The charges cited Rule 8.4(c) of the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, which states:

It is professional misconduct for a lawyer to engage in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice.

“Respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a Revised Stipulation for Consent Order of Reprimand with Conditions, in accordance with MCR9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. The stipulation contained respondent’s admission that he was convicted by guilty plea of impaired driving, second offense, a misdemeanor, in violation of MCL 257.6256B, in People v James Arthur Murray, Oakland County Circuit Court Case No. 2280129-FH.”

The Notice of Reprimand, states:

“James A. Murray, III, P85490, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #52.

Reprimand, Effective October 8, 2022″

Costs amounting to $759.41 were also assessed against Respondent.

According to Avvo, Mr. Murray III  practices in Southfield, Michigan, and has been licensed in Michigan.
