On Friday, March 31, 2023, the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #72 of the State of Michigan ordered the reprimand of Novi attorney Elana H. Gloetzner over failure to report criminal convictions.
The case was brought by the Grievance Administrator, case nos. 22-4-JC;22-5-GA.
Gloetzner and the Grievance Administrator filed an Amended Stipulation for Consent Order of Discipline which sets forth Gloetzner’s admission of her convictions by no contest plea on July 13, 2017, and June 7, 2019, for Disorderly Person/Drunk/Intoxicated and Operating While Intoxicated/Impaired-Second Offense, respectively.
According to the court filing, Gloetzner also admitted that she did not give notice of either to the Grievance Administrator or the Attorney Discipline Board.
The Amended Stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Committee and thereafter approved by the hearing panel.
In light of the foregoing facts and admissions, the hearing panel reprimanded Gloetzner by consent based on the latter’s admissions and the parties’ stipulation.
The Notice of Reprimand, states:
“Elana H. Gloetzner, P62997, Novi, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #72
Reprimand, effective March 29, 2023″
Costs amounting to $962.62 were also assessed against Gloetzner.
