On Thursday, April 6, 2023, the Attorney Discipline Board of the State of Michigan issued a Notice of Reprimand (By Consent) concerning Traverse City attorney Kathleen K. Shannon’s guilty plea to operating while intoxicated.
The case was brought by the Grievance Administrator under case no. 22-92-JC.
According to the filing, Shannon and the Grievance Administrator filed a Stipulation for a Consent Order of Reprimand setting forth Shannon’s admission of her conviction of operating while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, on August 10, 2022.
The Stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Committee and thereafter approved by the hearing panel.
Based on the foregoing facts and admissions, the hearing panel reprimanded Shannon by consent.
The Notice of Reprimand, states:
“Kathleen K. Shannon, P54261, Traverse City, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Grabd Traverse County Hearing Panel #1
Reprimand, Effective April 5, 2023″
Costs amounting to $806.93 were also assessed against Shannon.
