On Friday, October 4, 2024, the Tri-County Hearing Panel #6 disbarred Michigan attorney Jack B. Wolfe from practicing law in the state.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Jack B. Wolfe,” with case numbers 24-21-AI and 24-56-JC.
According to the notice of disbarment, in February 2024, Wolfe pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery of a document affecting real property and two counts of uttering and publishing a document affecting real property, in violation of Michigan state law. These were felony offenses.
The disbarment order came as a result of a consent agreement between Wolfe and the Grievance Administrator. They filed a stipulation with the Tri-County Hearing Panel #64, which accepted the disciplinary action. In the agreement, Wolfe acknowledged his criminal convictions constituted professional misconduct.
The panel determined Wolfe’s criminal acts violated professional conduct rules, specifically engaging in criminal behavior and conduct involving dishonesty that reflects poorly on his fitness as a lawyer. In line with the consent order, Wolfe was disbarred from practicing law in Michigan.
Wolfe had actually been suspended from practice since 2013, pending the resolution of a prior misconduct case according to Grievance Administrator records. As part of the disbarment decision, he was ordered to pay $873.32 to cover administrative costs. With this order, Jack B. Wolfe is now prohibited from working as an attorney in the state of Michigan.
According to Avvo, Mr. Wolfe was an attorney in Southfield, Michigan. He obtained his law license in Michigan in 1986.
