On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, the State of Minnesota Supreme Court reinstated attorney Daniel Jonathan Brown.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Daniel Jonathan Brown,” with case no. A23-0021.
After resigning from the practice of law in 2015, Brown petitioned for reinstatement in January 2023, and the Director of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility investigated his case. A panel of the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board reviewed the written submissions and determined that Brown had clearly and convincingly shown his ethical fitness and competence to practice law.
The Minnesota Supreme Court agreed with the panel’s recommendation and ordered Brown’s reinstatement, as long as he paid the registration fee and transferred to active status.
The Disposition states:
“IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the petitioner is reinstated to the practice of law, subject to payment of the applicable registration fee under Rule 5, Rules of the Supreme June 20, 2023, Court on Lawyer Registration, and transfer to active status under Rule 12, Rules of the Minnesota State Board of Continuing Legal Education.”
