On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the Supreme Court of New Jersey reprimanded attorney Tamara Laniece Sharp following a recommendation from the Disciplinary Review Board. The decision stems from Sharp’s violations of several Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC).

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Tamara Laniece Sharp,” with case no. 091347.

The violations include non-compliance with record-keeping requirements under RPC 1.15(d) and Rule 1:21-6, engaging in the unauthorized practice of law by failing to maintain professional liability insurance as required for limited liability companies under RPC 5.5(a)(1) and Rule 1:21-1B(a)(4), and failing to cooperate with disciplinary authorities as outlined in RPC 8.1(b).

In addition to the reprimand, the Court ordered Sharp to provide proof to the Office of Attorney Ethics within ninety days that she has attended a record-keeping course approved by the office, cured all outstanding deficiencies identified during the office’s investigation, and obtained professional liability insurance. Sharp is also required to submit quarterly and monthly three-way reconciliations to the Office of Attorney Ethics for a period of two years.

The court has mandated that the entire record of the matter be made a permanent part of Sharp’s file as an attorney in the state. Sharp must also reimburse the Disciplinary Oversight Committee for administrative costs and expenses related to the prosecution of the matter, as per Rule 1:20-17.
