On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department granted a motion reinstating Melody Berkovits as an attorney and counselor-at-law in New York.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Melody Berkovits,” with case no. 2024-04521.
Berkovits had been suspended on November 17, 2022, for failing to comply with Judiciary Law Section 468-a. However, she complied on or about December 13, 2023.
In their decision, the New York Court noted Berkovits had fulfilled the requirements and thus issued an order reinstating her law license, effective immediately.
According to martindale.com, Ms. Berkovitz acquired her law license in New York in 2015.
