On Thursday, January 25, 2024, the State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division Third Judicial Department reinstated attorney Ojeaga Adebola Longe to the practice of law.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Ojeaga Adebola Longe,” with case no. PM-06-24.

Longe had been suspended in September 2022 by an order from the same court. Longe had applied for reinstatement by filing an affidavit and exhibits on November 21, 2023. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department responded to Longe’s application on January 2, 2024. After reviewing Longe’s submission and the Committee’s response, the court determined that Longe had complied with the order of suspension and the rules of the court. Additionally, the court found that Longe possessed good moral character to practice law again and that reinstatement would be in the public interest.

The justices of the Third Department unanimously voted to grant Longe’s motion for reinstatement as an attorney. Longe is now reinstated to practice law in New York State immediately.

The Disposition states:

“ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted; and it is further ORDERED that respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.”
