On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, attorney Chelsea Ann Four-Rosenbaum was disbarred and removed from the rolls of attorneys by the Supreme Court of the State of New York Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Chelsea Ann Four-Rosenbaum,” with case no. 2023-08779.

Four-Rosenbaum was automatically disbarred following her felony conviction on July 22, 2022. The attorney was convicted after a jury trial in Sullivan County Court of kidnapping in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child. In response to her felony conviction, the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District filed a motion to strike Four-Rosenbaum’s name from the attorney rolls pursuant to state Judiciary Law.

Although Four-Rosenbaum was notified of the motion, she did not file any opposition. An appellate court panel of the Supreme Court granted the Grievance Committee’s motion. In its ruling, the court noted that Four-Rosenbaum’s criminal conviction resulted in her automatic disbarment under the law. She is now prohibited from practicing law in New York.

The Disposition states:

“Accordingly, the motion to strike the respondent’s name from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law, pursuant to Judiciary Law 90(4)(b), is granted to reflect the respondent’s disbarment as of July 22, 2022.”

According to avvo.com, Ms. Four-Rosenbaum was an attorney in Newburgh, New York. She attended the Western New England University School of Law. She acquired her law license in New York in 2014.
