On Thursday, October 9, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted Zhongbin Su’s application to resign from the New York Bar. Su sought the resignation for nondisciplinary reasons, as permitted under the Rules for Attorney Disciplinary Matters.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Zhongbin Su,” with case no. PM-223-25.
Su’s application, which included an affidavit sworn on August 21, 2025, and filed on August 25, 2025, was reviewed by the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department (AGC). The Deputy Chief Attorney for the AGC responded with correspondence on September 29, 2025, indicating the committee did not oppose Su’s resignation.
The court order stipulates that Su’s name will be removed from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in New York State, effective immediately, and until further order of the court. Furthermore, Su is prohibited from practicing law in any capacity within New York, whether as a principal, agent, clerk, or employee. He is also barred from appearing as legal counsel before any court, judge, justice, board, commission, or other public authority.
The order also prevents him from providing legal opinions, advice, or holding himself out as an attorney in the state. Finally, the court has directed Zhongbin Su to surrender any Attorney Secure Pass issued to him to the Office of Court Administration within 30 days of the decision date.
The Disposition states:
“It is ORDERED that Zhongbin Su’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”
According to Avvo.com, Mr. Su is a business attorney in West Covina, California. He acquired his law license in New York in 1993.
