On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted attorney Daryl Kathleen Zules’ request to resign from the New York Bar for nondisciplinary reasons. The decision, formalized in a memorandum and order, effectively removed Zules from the state’s roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Daryl Kathleen Zules,” with case no. PM-128-25.

Zules swore her resignation application through an affidavit dated May 7, 2025, and filed it with the court on May 13, 2025. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department reviewed the application and raised no objections to Zules’ request.

The court determined that Zules met the eligibility criteria for a nondisciplinary resignation under the Rules for Attorney Disciplinary Matters. As part of the court’s order, Zules is prohibited from practicing law in any capacity in New York, including acting as an agent, clerk, or employee of another, or providing legal opinions or advice. She is also barred from appearing as an attorney before any court, judge, justice, board, commission, or other public authority in the state.

Additionally, the court mandated that Zules surrender any Attorney Secure Pass issued to her by the Office of Court Administration within 30 days of the decision.

The Disposition states:

“It is ORDERED that Daryl Kathleen Zules’ application for permission to resign is granted and her nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”

According to Avvo.com, Ms. Zules is an attorney in Lowell, Massachusetts. She attended the Boston University School of Law. She acquired her law license in New York in 2015.
