On Thursday, October 3, 2024, the Supreme Court of the State of New York Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department accepted the nondisciplinary resignation of attorney Justin Dale Cope.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Justin Dale Cope,” with case no. PM-195-24.
Cope submitted his request to resign from practicing law in New York State on September 12, 2024. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department did not oppose Cope’s application to resign.
In accepting Cope’s resignation, the Court ordered that his name be stricken from the roll of attorneys authorized to practice law in New York. Cope is now prohibited from practicing law or representing himself as an attorney in New York state.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED that Justin Dale Cope’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”
According to avvo.com, Mr. Cope is an attorney in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He attended the New York University School of Law. He acquired his law license in New York in 2018.
