On Thursday, September 5, 2024, the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted attorney Tim Robert Ramnitz’s application to resign from the New York State Bar for nondisciplinary reasons.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Tim Robert Ramnitz,” with case no. PM-174-24.

Ramnitz had applied to the court to resign voluntarily through a sworn affidavit dated June 28, 2024. However, the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department initially opposed this application, asserting that Ramnitz was ineligible due to not fulfilling his attorney registration requirements for the 2024-2025 biennial period.

In response, Ramnitz provided supplemental information to the court in August stating that he was now current with his New York attorney registration. Records from the Office of Court Administration also confirmed that Ramnitz had properly registered and resolved any prior lapses.

With no further objections from the Attorney Grievance Committee, the New York Court then accepted Ramnitz’s resignation from practicing law in the state.

The Disposition states:

“ORDERED that Tim Robert Ramnitz’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”

According to the filing, Mr. Ramnitz acquired his law license in New York in 2006.
