On Thursday, July 3, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted the nondisciplinary resignation of attorney Andrew John Nolte from the New York Bar.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Andrew John Nolte,” with case no. PM-147-25.

Nolte filed his resignation affidavit on May 21, 2025, citing nondisciplinary reasons. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department did not oppose the request. The court reviewed Nolte’s affidavit and the committee’s response before granting the resignation.

As part of the court’s order, Nolte’s name has been removed from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in New York. He is prohibited from practicing law in any capacity in the state, including acting as an attorney, providing legal opinions, or appearing before courts or public authorities. Additionally, Nolte must surrender any Attorney Secure Pass issued to him to the Office of Court Administration within 30 days of the decision.

The Disposition states:

“It is ORDERED that Andrew John Nolte’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”

According to Avvo.com, Mr. Nolte was an attorney in Saratoga Springs, New York. He attended the Albany Law School. He acquired his law license in New York in 1983.
