On Thursday, November 7, 2024, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, accepted the resignation of attorney F. Elias Boujaoude, allowing him to exit the New York bar for nondisciplinary reasons.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of F. Elias Boujaoude,” with case no. PM-220-24.

The court’s decision followed a review of Boujaoude’s affidavit, sworn on September 4, 2024, and filed with the court shortly thereafter. The AGC’s Deputy Chief Attorney responded to the application on October 30, 2024, indicating no objection to Boujaoude’s request to resign.

Consequently, the court determined that he was eligible to resign under the relevant rules governing attorney disciplinary matters.

In its ruling, the court ordered that Boujaoude’s name be removed from the official roll of attorneys in New York, effective immediately. Furthermore, Boujaoude is prohibited from practicing law in any capacity within the state. This includes serving as an attorney, counselor-at-law, or providing legal opinions or advice. He is also required to return any Attorney Secure Pass issued to him within 30 days of the court’s decision.

The Disposition states:

“ORDERED that F. Elias Boujaoude’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”

According to the filing, Mr. Boujaoude acquired his law license in New York in 2018.
