On Thursday, July 18, 2024, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted lawyer Quinton Rhys Singleton’s request to resign from the New York State Bar for nondisciplinary reasons.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Quinton Rhys Singleton,” with case no. PM-140-24.
The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department did not oppose Singleton’s application for resignation. In his affidavit filed on May 13, 2024, Singleton stated that he wished to leave the New York bar voluntarily without facing any accusations of misconduct.
In a decision, the New York Court accepted Singleton’s resignation from legal practice in the state. As a result, Singleton’s name will be removed from the roll of attorneys authorized to represent clients in the state. He can no longer provide legal advice or services in New York. The court also directed Singleton to surrender any Attorney Secure Pass issued to him.
According to the filing, Mr. Singleton acquired his law license in New York in 2012.
