On Thursday, July 17, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department granted the reinstatement of attorney Christina M. Rivera to practice law in the state.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Christina M. Rivera,” with case no. 2025-03128.

Rivera had been suspended earlier in the year for non-compliance with Judiciary Law Section 468-a, which mandates certain registration requirements for attorneys.

The suspension, effective from March 20, 2025, was issued under Motion No. 2025-014423-766 and remained in place until further court orders.

Following her suspension, Rivera took steps to address the issue, achieving compliance with Judiciary Law Section 468-a on May 21, 2025, and July 1, 2025. She subsequently filed a motion seeking reinstatement as an attorney and counselor-at-law.

The court granted the reinstatement after reviewing her motion and supporting documentation.

According to the filing, Ms. Rivera acquired her law license in New York in 2007.
